What can I say...I love a
simple centerpiece. In fact, the
hydrangea centerpiece post that I did, is currently my most popular. Since the weather has been so fantastic, and I'm always dreaming of the day I live at the beach.....I thought I would do beach inspired centerpieces
I'm so sorry the kids have outgrown their sandbox. I could use a few cups of it now. Is this something you would try?
On another note....my
Craigslist frustrations continues. That contender table is in Pennsylvania! I'ts called "over-posting" and I should have flagged that listing.

I have a few Adirondack chairs, nothing special...the plastic kind. They are tired, faded and could use a fresh coat of paint. I just can't decide what color.
Do you have a favorite color? I must admit...I think mine is the last one. I just love
French Blue in the garden.

It's February and spring is just a bit too far away for my liking. Our winter has been mild and not much snow to mention. If I just jinxed it for our area....I'm sorry. However, it is still not gardening weather. So, I'm going back to Nantucket....visually!
This one will do just fine
The inside of this home is not what I would have expected...so, I'm just showing you the outside. If you want to see beautiful interiors of Nantucket homes,

This is a beautiful beach house on Nantucket. For me, this is perfection! It is for sale...
It has a wonderful Great-room with
v-groove paneling, gorgeous hardwood floors, and a lovely fireplace.
The kitchen is my favorite room!
Another area for lounging
Custom moldings and trim-work that make my eyes water
An
all white foyer....
A
perfect pool with stunning views
AND....all this could be yours for the 8.8 MILLION dollars!
OR
YOU
COULD
HAVE
THIS
Elizabeth Taylor's 33.19 carat diamond. It just sold for 8.8 Million dollars! Which would you choose?

I thought I'd share a few more pictures from our day trip to Carmel from last weekend.
Aside from the beautiful beaches...
And stunning houses...
The town is quite adorable, too! The flowers are always perfectly groomed and colorful. Here's a little hotel on the down town street:
They also have a small mall, but it does not disappoint. Anthropologie is there! Here's their new window display: I think it could be an inspiration for some great DIY projects. Maybe curtains or something fun!
I'm also still in love with this idea:Down the street {past our favorite Coach outlet!}, is this little gem:
The Cottage of Sweets! Hansel and Gretel anyone?
We picked up some gummies for my best friend who left back to school, some licorice ropes for my mom, a chocolate covered pretzel {which was promptly scarfed down in the car on the way home...} and my very favorite strawberry sour strips! For some reason I'm addicted to the quick chills sour candies give you, then the relieving sweetness immediately after.I came home that night, sour candies in hand, and watched Modern Family as my face mask dried.
 |
| I promise I'm holding the sour candies, not a worm. |
Trust me, a color picture would have scared you away. As if this black and white one didn't (;
Sadly, I polished off the last strawberry sour just a few seconds ago. Just means we have to go back real soon. Got that, Mom? Ah, how I love this beach town. When I grow up, I want to live here.
Enjoy your Thursday!Love,
