My husband and I were home alone last night - quietly eating our dinner. My phone rings and it is my son. He said, "Mom! Can you see the sunset! It's beautiful!" I immediately run to the dining room window. Sadly, I replied, "No, son, I can't see beyond the trees". He shared that it was very beautiful.
I love it when my children have caught onto my delight in the world. I am still in awe of a full moon, clouds rolling by and loud, thunderous storms.
I love seeing baby animals,
birds and butterflies floating by.
It fills my heart that with all the things we've instilled into our children, one of them is a sense of wonder.

A short while later, I was outside with my son's dog - which we've temporarily adopted -
and I look up to see a candy coated sky. Immediately, I call my son - "I see it! The sky is beautiful." We share that moment and more conversation. Making another memory. My son, miles away and me in my garden - viewing the same sky with awe and wonder.
