Pink Saturday

Winter’s Jewel
The Camellia

The beautiful evergreen is a native plant of Asia.
With over a hundred species of Camelia
one of the most famous is the
Camellia sinensis or the tea plant.
Also known as the Chinese tea plant.

Most in our gardens are used for their
Ornamental purposes. In the cold of winter
They are jewels sparkling in various shades of
Creams, pinks, purples and reds.
I am very fond of the softest of pink Camellias.
My neighbor has one and as the flowers fade and fall
it seems there's a blanket of pink snow beneath the
evergreen bush. Quite breathtaking.

I also wanted to share that our house painting
is still in progress! I am choosing a complementary
color for the awnings and the doors.
So far it looks like a deep/burgundy red will be the choice.

Thank you for stopping by on this
pink saturday!
