That is one of our favorite lines from the Santa Clause movie. Just one word from me and my husband is ready to bring down from the attic the storage containers to begin taking down this year's Christmas decorations!
And this year he was quite ready! I had begun decorating before Thanksgiving to be able to have it all ready by my Christmas with Victoria blog party on December 6. I will keep the links up on the sidebar until December 31. There were so many beautiful participants!
But, I did say to my husband - 'I guess we can start this week'. I had originally wanted to wait until after New Year's weekend!
So,
he not only took down the storage containers, but he also took down one of the trees! This is the tree I leave for he and my children to decorate. With only one left in the nest at home it was he and my youngest daughter. And they didn't get it decorated until just before our annual Christmas party on December 11th!
So. What was a tree filled corner is now a wide open one revealing the built-in bookshelf once again. I really like the decorations for the shelves - but....
I must say I am looking forward to a more streamlined - lighter decorative look -
not sure the end result yet - that's the fun of decorating - moving things around
and making slight changes. I guess it is now my turn to remove the place
the Christmas decorations back into storage.
So here it goes
