Lunch for Two

Magnolia Tablescape

I love this time of the year. The air is filled with the magical
fragrance of the Southern Magnolia.
Our evenings have been very warm
and the scent of the Magnolia lingers heavily in the air.
I have brought in several bouquets of Magnolias to freshen
the rooms of my home with their lemony scent.

On my dining table, I placed four fully opened Magnolias and two buds in an antique silver pitcher I found
at Goodwill. One of the feet had been broken. I was able
to repair it and have left it with its glorious patina.

I have these two lovely Magnolia dishes by Homer Laughlin, "Debutante".

This will be a light lunch, so a small plate is sufficient. I have chosen to use my Anchor Hocking Bubble Glass - Forest Green goblets and dessert dishes, which will be perfect for fresh fruit salad.

I will be using my small green Depression Glass cake plate for dessert.

I love this little two tier server - it is just the right size for bite size hors doeuvres or tea sandwiches.

I placed underneath the plates my newest napkin treasures -
love the crochet detail.

I have a few mismatched silverware pieces to add charm.

These are some of my favorite teacups - or coffee cups -

I think they are Homer Laughlin, they came from a garage sale with a whole set of plates and bowls, but they have no marking.
I have added the tea set my daughter gave me for
Mother's Day

and these sweet silver salt and pepper shakers
I found at an Estate Sale.

A Table set for two - with a deliciously, fragrant centerpiece - all that is lacking is you - my company!
And some good eats!

I so enjoyed the floral arrangement along with the tea set,
cake stand and two tier dish - that I decided to leave them
as they were.

Thank you for stopping by!
