Bold Blooms
We continue to have record heat and drought. In my garden I am observing those flowers that boldly continue to grow despite the difficult conditions. I continue to water and weed. Weeds seemingly can grow and multiply regardless of the conditions.
This amazing dahlia was given to me as a gift earlier this year. It is very large and hardy.
The monarda is doing quite nicely - attracting butterflies and hummingbirds.
The daylilies - especially the orange ones seem to be growing everywhere - I even see them growing in the ditches along the roadways. They bring charm and cheer to my parched garden.
Each year I have several marigold volunteers which grow to be quite large and beautiful.
The abelia was here when we moved in - it is a favorite of the bees. I love its graceful limbs and flowers.
This butterfly bush is called Biltmore
I am thankful that despite the harsh conditions that these blooms are bold and strong enough to give their best in my garden.
I am sharing this post with these Delightsome garden parties:
