IN THE GARDEN
It is a quiet morning. My husband was off early this Saturday to do some
clean up work at his father's mini farm. All of the childrn are out.
It's just me. I think this will be the case quite often now that they're all
grown.
I missed a tea break last weekend because I was out of town
co-hosting a Baby Shower with my sisters for
my brother and sister-in-law.
Remember the Snoopy banner?
They have asked me to paint a Snoopy mural in the nursery.
I am excited. I also need to paint a Carolina Gamecock for my
nephew! This fall I hope to have opportunity to pay a visit
to do these murals and to help paint pumpkins for my
sister and brother-in-law's farmer's market.
I got a basket full of these gorgeous peaches and have great plans for them!
This morning, I am indulging in one of my favorite meals.
Fresh Peaches, Greek Yogurt and Honey
Sometimes I have this for lunch. I shared a few of my favorite
Summertime lunches here.
I paired this meal with a very fragrant, light and delicious
Blueberry, Acai Green Tea.
What a delight to enjoy a tea that pleases the senses!
This tea is so fragrant and delicious.
I drizzled a wee bit of honey to lightly sweeten it.
I picked a bouquet of Pink Crape Myrtle to enjoy alongside my
favorite, dark-red Geraniums set atop my recently painted
I love the combination of pink and red!
I love the early morning hours. The heat has not taken
over yet, the summer bugs are singing along with the birds.
The cats are swirling at my feet wanting my attention.
I sit and ponder the week past and the week ahead.
This past week was met with a few unexpected challenges and a few blessings.
My trusty Mac Ibook finally died. I had it for a long time. I am using
a PC right now, quite, quite different. NOW I understand why some are
still having trouble commenting! It happened to me!
The good things that happened outweigh the bad. We learned a long time ago
that when there's nothing we can do about a situation - to roll with it and
make the best of it! Sometimes there's nothing more you can do but to laugh!
Life does present us with many challenges - But God provides us with many
blessings through it all. I try to look for them and to learn from them.
I remind myself of my motto, "Toujours" and thank God for his
loving kindness, his tender mercies and the ability to share
and care with others - and with you.
I truly hope you're weekend is going well - if not hang in there -
we read in our Bible study Wednesday Psalms 42 - 45.
A phrase repeated in Psalm 42 and 43 is a good one to
hang on to.
"Hope thou in God"....
