Creative Ideas
In the 2002 issue of Victoria Magazine Peggy Kennedy shared simple ways to create changes that express you.
“Creative details and collections of beloved objects define our style and make rooms friendly, inviting and distinctive”.
Peggy shared five ways one can easily transform one’s home.
Paint – Peggy shared that “a memorable room often starts with walls in a singular shade of color we love”.
Wallpaper – or alternatively stencils can liven a room or a piece of furniture.
Slipcovers – taking fabric to ‘unite all manner of upholstery’ is one way to bring a room together.
Collections – “add character to a room”.
Little Gestures – those things we add to our room to bring constant change – a vase of flowers, a stack of books or a piece of glassware.
“These constantly changing touches are precisely what proclaim our homes alive and well”.
