Time for a Tablescape!

Cheerful Chickens

It has been a while since I was able to do a tablescape.
So, today, while working on one of the dining chairs – to match the yellow chair and with the table newly transformed..

I am so loving the look of the table along with the yellow and red chairs.

I decided it would be fun to create a cheerful tablescape.

The main characters to this tablescape are these happy chickens on the placemats! I have always loved these placemats and their color lends itself to an Autumnal setting.

Ok. Where next. Surrounding the chickens could either be apples or cherries. I decided to use the basket of faux apples in my kitchen for a centerpiece.

Above them were these jaunty roosters just begging to be invited. So along they came!

These two little iron roosters could not be left out.

I filled two of the candlesticks I made with the acorns I recently found to further add to the Autumnal feel.

For the placesettings I was wishing for dark green or black plates. How striking that would be!
I do have some red salad plates with roosters that would have fit perfectly – but, they’re hanging out in the kitchen, not wanting to be brought down.
So, I chose my everyday creamy Homer Laughlin plates and the ruby red salad plates.

Atop the salad plates I placed the dark green napkins – that were originally used as décor for my daughter’s wedding last October!
I have these sweet little apples we’ve been snacking on, so I placed one at each setting.

I chose the golden colored glassware I inherited and our everyday silverware.

This is the first tablescape I have created without a tablecloth!
I am so excited that the warmth of the table adds to the warmth of the settings.

Cheerful, warm and welcoming!
Just what a tablescape should be!

Thank you so much for your visit!
I’ve had fun and do appreciate when you pay a call!

Wishing you a very cheerful, Delightsome day!
