Fun Free Fonts
I like things that are pretty. That is one of the underlying
thoughts I have when I create and arrange things on my blog. I
want it to be a lovely, peaceful, informative and fun place to visit.
While creating buttons for my upcoming new blog party, I was
searching for interesting fonts – especially for the first letters to the
words Home and Garden. I wanted the H and the G to be unique –
to reflect what they represent.
Here are some examples!
H-Daemonesque
H-Vespasiano
G - Victorian Initial
G-JFWildwood
Then I found SoStars
I was like a kid in a candy store! There are so many fantastic,
creative fonts available for free and they are so easy to download.
I have been having fun with them. I have found, however when
applying some of these fonts to blogger, they do not translate as
they are supposed to be. So, you may need to experiment some.
one thing to note.
I usually write the text to my posts in a Word document because
some times in the past, I have lost posts by going back in to make
changes. What works for me, if I go back to edit, is to save as a
draft, open back up, hit the save button and then publish. But, just
to be sure, before I hit publish I take the screen to HTML view,
copy the code for the entire post then hit publish. If for some
reason the information is lost, I still have it. Also, always go back
to preview - to make sure you have spacing correct. Also, if you lose
your post, your pictures are already saved to Picasa! What a
blessing that is!
I hope you enjoy this! I look forward to those who plan to share
tonight!
Home and Garden Thursday will be up at 6 p.m. EST!
Thanks for visiting, I hope you have a Delightsome day!
