Bedrooms without Mites

Posted by MAKMU ta On Friday, August 19, 2011

Allergies usually begin to manifest the effect of the mites in the home, we live every day surrounded by allergens that we may not have realized that they exist, we can eliminate or at least minimize their damaging effect on our health.

Bedroom is where most mites accumulate, starting with the bed sheets and pillowcases. So it is good to often wash them, ideally every three days. The bedspreads and blankets commonly used throughout the year or for half season, without moving and accumulate dust and mites, so it's good to send them to the cleaners once a month.

The pillows that made from wool and feathers are mite house, it is recommended to use synthetic fillers.

Instead of tossing the furniture with a feather duster, it is preferable to pass a damp cloth, like the floors, which are normally dry. It is best to pass on a damp cloth to trap dust and to not let it fly in air and ultimately return to the same place.

The sweaters and tissues should be kept in sealed bags to prevent mites accumulation on it.

It is important to get the choice of bedding, this not only participates in our sleep but also decorate the bedroom.
Cotton is still the best material for bedding, a sheet 100% cotton is softer than one made with polyester and does not produce lint. It is also retains natural body heat, make the air circulate better and does not irritate the skin. However, in order to obtain a sheet resistance and easy to wash linens; cotton are mix with synthetic fibers.
Although the traditional bed set that consist of sheets, bottom sheet and blanket or quilt is still selling at a high rate, the spread of duvet cover is increasing. Its main advantage lies in the fact that the same element used for the whole year and only you need to change the stuffing.
This may be composed of feathers which remove moisture and preserves the body temperature, or synthetic fibers that recommended in case of allergies.
