Good morning to you all. Here is a little bit more information on my image policy which has changed slightly in the last few days - please leave comments if you feel the need!
All my images are sourced from bookmark sites, given to me by store owners to use on the blog or taken by me. I will say which one each time.
I don't own these images unless stated and therefore it's possible that you have seen these images before. I try and minimise this so that content remains fresh for you at I Heart Shabby Chic. I have very creative seo searches set up on these bookmark sites and on google. I spend half an hour every day coming up with new and creative searches that will lead me to fresh images. Obviously there will be reblogs from my sources and I deliberately avoid anyone who is reposting images from my own source as it's twice as likely to be seen multiple times by my readers. Reposting from several new and different sources is also one of the keys to producing better images for my readers.
If you own the copyright on an image I have used and wish for it to be taken down please email and it shall be done asap. I am not here to lay claim to any works that are not my own. I own this blog, it's a vehicle for shabby chic friendly web traffic - the buzz around it comes from my selection of images and the marketing I have done over three years. I am not here to pass off images as my own work. If you need help to copyright an image on the web then the best deterrent so far in my experience is to add your own © watermark and original source info to the image.
In the history of this blog only one person has expressed slight consternation about my reposts so this is not a reply to critics, it's a response to you, to let you know that I am fully aware of the over saturation of shabby chic imagery on the internet and hopefully I can always provide you guys with something new! x x x
p.s. photo above source from Tumblr!!!!
p.p.s. I've just noticed one thing I do take offence to, and that's copying my posts, theme for theme, image for image, word for word! Might seem strange but I have found someone doing this! Please don't!!!

Yes that's right, this month of November I Heart Shabby Chic will be 3 years old. It does not feel like three years and certainly I never expected it to be such a huge success. To date this blog has gathered 305 google blog followers, almost 246,000 page views and 194 comments. There are 784 Facebook likers and 446 Twitter followers. The blog now attracts 50,000 visitors a month (very latest figures). Something that I never even thought possible!
Thank you all for your interest in my blog and long may it continue to inspire you! xxx

I just returned from one of my six yearly visits to family in the Lake District UK. Whilst there the thought occurred to me to share some photos of shabby chic-ness I think you might like! The above is a typical house in the village of Beetham which is where my mother works.
This is Beetham Post Office - you would love it, the whole village is chocolate box perfect.
Most of my family members live in a small market town called Ulverston. It has cobbled streets, daily markets, an old town clock that chimes every hour and all the major times inbetween, weekly festivals...this is an example of one shabby shop there called Brambles.
Beetham Post Office have a nice line of handmade fairies hanging in the window...
I cheekily took some photos....
One of my favourite Ulverston tea rooms...there are plenty...is Gillams. If you want to see more Beetham and Ulverston photos they are available in
my Flickr.

In order for me to get to know my readers a little better I have put a little poll together over in the right sidebar. Please vote on your favourite topic that I cover here. Please leave any additional comments below this post.
What are your thoughts on the small toolbar along the bottom of the page? This has several useful information buttons including a translate button. My favourite is the traffic map, looking at all those little stars across the world in real time! Have you been using the toolbar? How do you find it?

Time for a little bit of info on my other blogs in case you find them interesting...
I have four main blogs at the moment and they are...
Journal of a Blog - just a baby but it's where I am sharing all of my blogging knowledge. I have so much to add but have only really covered the first few topics so far. I am asking all of my friends who individually ask me for blogging help to check out this blog first.
All For The Love of Vintage is a vintage inspiration blog mainly based around a certain kind of vintage photography so it's mainly photo inspiration like this blog. Another baby, but you can help it grow by joining in the fun!
Heather Jane Steeley is my personal blog and linked to my
main website. I do personal rants, inspiration posts, lifestyle stuff and share some graphic design news here.
The Art Nouveau Blog is inspirational mainly photography centering on the Art Nouveau style and a little Art Deco.
Finally people are asking me what happened to my Alice Magazine project...
Alice was a little weblog and then in print too. At the moment I don't have the time to commit to a full-on graphical print magazine but the website may soon be returning. A case of time!
So there you go, a little something different for the weekend. Have a fab one whatever you are doing!

Carpet is the floor cover material that generally has lifetime for about 2-3 years and then need to be changed. So every time you buy a carpet, you need to consider choosing a carpet for your house.
Apart from making your room looks beautiful and luxurious, other advantages of using carpet are softness when you step down on the floor, which will make you feel relax and comfortable, absorb noise and reduce echo that will come into your room, save your electricity bill because it will help to store cold to circulate within the room, protect severe injuries from slippery accident, and vary of colour, and patterns, which very useful for decoration.

I've been checking out a lot of places to find out where I can get the best pet durable carpet at the best price and the best place I've found is Empire Today. Empire Today has great prices on and they carry Berber carpet which is the most durable carpet and great for homes with pets like mine.
They also carry a great selection of laminate flooring which is much better to have then hardwood floors if you have pets. All my hardwood floor needs to be re-sanded and varnished again because of scratch marks from the dogs paws. I definitely thinking about going with the laminate flooring this time.
Many people have already use Empire Today services and they, as costumers, are the best people to be asked about their experience and what is their opinion on the services provided. So if you are looking for new Carpet or flooring products with the best quality then you definitely should check out www.EmpireToday.com. They have great product selections, service and prices. Something that really sold me on Empire Today were the great reviews they received from everyday people on Empire Carpet Stories.
With more than 45 years of experience as the leading provider of installed Home Furnishings and Home Improvements and with over one million satisfied customers, Empire Today proudly offers quality products at great prices and next day installation on Flooring and Carpet, Hardwood Flooring, Laminate Flooring, Ceramic Flooring, Window Treatments, Bath & Shower Liners.
