If you plan to put wallpaper in the room of your children or any other room and want to do it yourself, here are how to do steps:
1- To calculate how many rolls you need, you have to divide the room perimeter by the width of the roll, so you know the number of strips you need.
Then divide the roll length at the height of the wall and you will achieve the number of strips per roll out (add 10 cm per side if the paper has a print that coordinate). Finally, divide the first number by the second and know how many rolls you need.
2- Remove dust from the wall with mild detergent and rinsed with water and diluted bleach. Then protects the floor with paper.
3- Fix defect in the wall with putty and wait for it to dry.
4- To cut the first strip, measure and mark the wall height of 4 cm; cut the paper using a cutter.
5- For the second strip, match drawing from the top and cut the other strips as the first.
6- Prepare the tail with warm water in the proportion that the manufacturer marks. Apply glue generously with a brush to paper. Leave the paper getting wet.
7- In the first and last strip to hit, the drawings will not match perfectly. To avoid much notice of this, start papering in the middle of the wall and works around the room in every direction, always ending in the corners.
When papering the wall there is always the risk that in the long folds forming surface and bubbles that prevent a perfect finish. To correct this, wallpaper glue injected under the paper with the aid of a syringe, they need to wait a few minutes for the adhesive to penetrate behind the strip, and then press on the bubble to remove it permanently.
Another option is to cut a cross on the bubble. Then fold the edges outward, apply the adhesive on them and replace the tabs in place. It will also be advisable to push to ensure that definitely grabs the paper.
It should be noted that if the walls are smooth, you can use any type of paper, but if they are irregular and do not want sanding and coating substances, then use foam sheets of paper that is thicker and flexible, embossed or stamped.
