Je suis à la recherche de la table baisse parfaite. Aujourd'hui, j'ai une petite table blanche en bois que j'ai payée quelques euros dans une brocante en Suède il y a plusieurs années. Je l'adore, elle a les dimensions parfaites, mais elle sera bientôt prête à être recyclée... Il va donc falloir la remplacer, mais la tâche s'annonce difficile! Voici une sélection de tables basses de design scandinave que j'aime beaucoup. Certes, elles ne sont pas toutes compatibles avec mon compte bancaire, mais il faut aussi rêver un peu non? :)

I'm on the hunt for the perfect coffee table. Right now I have a small white wooden table that cost me a few euros on a flea market in Sweden many years ago. I love it, it has the perfect dimensions, but it will soon be ready for recycling... So I need to replace it, which will not be an easy task! This is a selection of coffee tables of Scandinavian design that I like a lot. Obviously, not all of them are compatible with my bank account, but you have to dream a little too, right? :) Which one is your favourite?

bougeoir Festivo l'autre jour? Et bien, je l'avais mis à jour par la suite avec quelques images trouvées chez
Trendenser d'un très joli appartement à Göteborg... Appartenant aux propriétaires d'un magasin de design bien connu,
Aschebergsgatan 24, l'appartement a été
mis en vente cette semaine. Je ne pouvais pas passer à côté des autres photos de cet endroit sublime, alors voilà!
Remember the post about the Festivo candlestick the other day? Well, I updated it later with a couple of photos found at Trendenser from a beautiful flat in Göteborg... The flat belongs to the owners of a well-known design store, Aschebergsgatan 24, and was put on the market this week. I couldn't resist posting more pictures from this amazing place, so here you go!

Après avoir vu le bougeoir Festivo partout pendant toute mon enfance en Suède, je pensais vraiment pas que j'allais le trouver joli un jour... Mais on a le droit de changer d'avis non? Créé en 1966 par le designer finlandais Timo Sarpaneva pour Iittala, Festivo est toujours en production aujourd'hui. Et maintenant que je vois toute une collection de Festivo en différentes hauteurs comme sur la photo ci-dessous, et bien, je trouve qu'il a l'air fantastique!
Having seen the Festivo candlestick everywhere during my whole childhood in Sweden, I never thought I would actually like it one day... But who says you can't change your mind? Festivo was designed in 1966 by Finnish designer Timo Sarpaneva for Iittala and is still in production today. And now that I see a whole collection of Festivo in different heights like on the table below, well I think it looks fantastic! You'll find it in several online stores, this one for example.

Le morceau de sucre, c'est comme ça qu'Anna, Maurits et leurs trois enfants appellent leur maison, un rêve architectural en brique blanche de 1961 situé près de la mer dans le sud de la Suède. A l'intérieur, les murs en briques, les carrelages et les parquets, ainsi que les grands baies vitrés, sont tous d'origine et typiques de l'époque. Ayant un faible pour le design "mid-century", j'adorerais vivre dans une maison comme celle-ci! J'aime surtout la palette sobre en noir/blanc/gris du salon et la manière dont elle met en valeur l'architecture de la maison.
The sugar lump house, that's how Anna, Maurits and their three kids call their house, an architectural dream in white brick from 1961 situated close to the sea in the south of Sweden. Inside, the brick walls, the tiled floor and the parquet, as well as the large windows, are all originals and typical for the time period. Having a thing for mid-century design, I would of course love to live in a house like this! I especially like the sober black/white/grey colour scheme in the living room and the way it emphasizes the architecture of the house.
