{Stunning Spaces} Relax & Unwind

It's Friday! How was your Thanksgiving?! Ours was delicious!! I'm still recovering, so I found some beautiful pictures to feast your eyes on while you come on out of that turkey coma (:
Sarah Richardson {of Sarah's House 4} is one of my favorite designers. Her show continues to blow me away. I love how detail oriented she is, as well as how wonderfully she mixes pattern. And how can you not love her and Tommy together?! Amazing duo.
I wish I was recovering from yesterday in this spa of a bathroom:
Another room that caught my eye was this pretty-in-pink living room...
{All images via}
The perfectly placed furniture designates multiple seating areas, all the while creating a comfortable and beautiful living area.
Yep. Major swoon!
Have a wonderful and relaxing weekend!
Love,

PS. Welcome to my sponsor, Ravenna Girls!
I was able to meet the creative girls behind the blog and shop last year at the seattle blogger meet up. They're awesome and so is their shop! They have unique and vintage pieces just waiting for you to add charm to your home!
Check it out!
xoxo

Star Struck: Mary McDonald

Last week I was fortunate enough to be Cristin's date to the San Francisco Design Center to meet a very special someone. Did you watch last season of Million Dollar Decorators?? Cristin and I both did and loved every second. You may remember who my favorite designer on the show was from this post I wrote. If you didn't catch it, my fave is Mary McDonald! She's an absolutely wonderful designer with so much personality, pattern, texture, and drama in each space. When Cristin told me she was doing a book signing at the SF Design Center, I was thrilled!
I was over the moon excited to meet Mary, and also to finally get my own copy of her book- which is amazing!
If you haven't grabbed a copy of Mary McDonald Interiors, you have to get one soon! The way Mary lays out each style and compiles her portfolio under each topic is so helpful to many different types of people. Whether you're looking for direction, eye candy, or inspiration, this is the book for you!
Thanks, Mary, for spending time and chatting with us! You're fab (:
Happy Weekend, friends!!

A Whole Lot of Style

I can't begin to describe how blessed I feel to have been able to intern with Cristin, from Simplified Bee, this summer. We've had the chance to do some fun things {and some that are still coming up!} Among our adventures was one of the best days of my summer so far. Recently, Cristin has been working with interior designer, Leslie Lundgren, on several projects. A few weeks ago Leslie invited Cristin to help her style her one of her client's homes for some photos of the finished space. Let me tell you- these ladies together are the dream team! I was lucky enough to come along and take the pictures of the STUNNING space.
I immediately fell in love with the color, pattern, and Leslie's ability to blend traditional, Chinoiserie and ultimately create a relaxed California feeling.
Take a look:
As soon as I saw these baby Uggs I knew they needed to be in the shoot (:
This was a fun little corner to style, and with three opinions on what should go where, we sure had a ball! It was so beneficial to have three sets of eyes, and as the morning went on, we became more in touch with each other's styles that we started picking up on things before the other would even say it!
We started with the dresser, the green lamp that's now on the entry table, and another smaller botanical print framed above the dresser. After many different looks, we ended up finding this amazing artwork in the garage! Now, center stage, this turquoise gem is the piece that pulls the whole space together.
The roses from Leslie's garden cannot go unnoticed. How perfect is that color?!
The three of us had such a wonderful time styling the shoot, but even more importantly, Leslie's client is totally in love with her living room. And so am I (:
Don't you think it turned out great? What's your favorite element in the space?
Hope this Monday eye candy is enough to wake you up! Check out more of Leslie's portfolio over here.

This charming Spanish style home sits in an adorable neighborhood and features incredible architectural elements, such as this fireplace and the wood beams on the ceiling.

Let's talk about the rug...LOVE IT. Such a great way to bring a whimsical, yet neutral, textured piece to the room.

Million Dollar Decorators: Mary McDonald

Have y'all been watching Million Dollar Decorators?! I am clearly obsessed with it. It's crazy, bold and outrageously expensive and ornate design. I'm not sure if I watch it so I can laugh at how seriously funny some of the comments the designers make are, or if it's to see the gorgeous spaces come together. While I have issues with the tardiness and snootiness of a few of the designers, there's one designer who has my heart. Mary McDonald. {and her pug!}
First of all, she's hilarious. She has spunk and she is genuinely amazing at her job. Mary is also super up on fashion and always looks perfect. I SO admire her ability to use color, pattern, and FAB accessories in her designs. To spend a day with her, even if it was to bring her coffee, would be a dream!
Mary's style "combines old-fashioned elegance with a modern sensibility resulting in a fearless, joyful exuberance. Her ability to combine bold patterns, Chinoiserie, and Indian influences with contemporary lines and an impeccable sense of color has established her signature style."

Here are some of my favorite images from her portfolio:
