workspace

Posted by MAKMU ta On Sunday, November 20, 2011

This space seems so easy on the eyes simple and clean where you could just open up the laptop and get some things done.  It is nothing like my desk that is covered in papers and misc little things that my kids have made and given to me.

I love the finish on the table and the key is the fresh flowers I think!

This does not seem completely practical for actual work but I like it.  The floor is amazing and the lights are very very cool!

How great is this desk - 2 sided and full of storage!  Love it and the mix of formality with the informality makes the space seem so creative.

Abstract inspiration

Posted by MAKMU ta On Thursday, August 11, 2011

Some days you cannot place your finger on what exactly you love about a photo or a space but it is inspiring.  Some photos just make me think that life is full of so many layers and ideas that it is hard to separate them into any type of design thought.  Does that make any sense?  Often when I look at a photo of a space I can see the elements separately that make it up, but there are other times that I just cannot pinpoint what it is that makes me love it- I just do...

These two images are like that for me...

Truck furniture

I've written about this Japanese company before, but now I've come across some new images and I'm even more impressed. Someone needs to create an American version of this brand, stat.

Yet another shot to file away under "workspaces for people who do glamourous work." Usually I'm drawn to white and bright workspaces, but there's some undeniable power to this look.
