I saw these and was immediately in love- this is some amazing talent!
I have a presentation today and then it is back to the ordering grind for ongoing projects. I wish I felt like I was moving forward but I am not sure if I am really getting anywhere anymore.
Tomorrow I will share with you a little bit of what I have been up to and I am hoping to get to share some great new books that I have discovered too!
Wishing you a lovely Wednesday.

Life is in the details... These vintage details are so sweet and telling about the collector. That is the one thing about design that can be the hardest is to help clients add and arrange their own "details". I love real details things that are collected and meaningful. These are the things that truly make the home a special place, a place full of memories and special moments.
Just a little reminder to remember the details...

The texture of cement is so fantastic when it is natural or with a smooth finish and a small amount of nuetural color. The color is truly an artistic endeavor. I am using a custom made cement counter and molded sink in an upcoming project and I am so excited to see how they turn out. The finishes had the smallest differences and I really loved them all.
These walls are so amazing with the natural light in this picture.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend! Maybe this weekend I will have a little time to take some photos of my treasures from the last few weeks of shopping.

Her style is a little wild, but fun! I love these images and the way they capture the smallest of details and the beautiful light in her home.

It is funny there are some weeks when inspiration eludes me and then there are some where it is everywhere and I cannot keep it straight! I am absolutely loving everything here! I love vintage chairs and their time worn look, the lovely layers of grey from
Atelier de Campagne, and Lauren at Pure Style Home's new textile line.
Do you ever find too much inspiration? I like to take mine and store it away for a day when I am feeling a little out of sorts and use it to get me back on track!

It is so fun to see creative people in their homes. Kate Spade's home is really fun and whimsical. I love the use of artwork which seems to make a statement in every space. The colors are bold and inspiring.
What do you think?

Layering in design is a true art form. It is mastered by a great stylist but in reality can we really live that way? Is there a spot for my water glass or my collection of work papers?
How about you have you mastered the art of layering? Does your home look like a shop?
On good days parts of mine do, but let's face it I live here and life is very busy!

Gustave Flaubert, the French writer best known for his novel Madame Bovary, isgenerally attributed with the saying, "Le bon Dieu est dans ledetail".
Over the yearsthis expression has morphed and changed but the simple message remains thesame...and that is… that whatever we do, should be done thoroughly and to thevery best of our abilities. The details are what make all the difference...
In design the details make the space come together and in a home the details are what make the space special and what in the end is truly a home. A home is just a shell waiting for life to fill it up.
In much the same way we need each other to make those details of our lives come together into something really wonderful. All of that detail is so necessary to make us who we are.
Life is in the detail make them all special.

The wonderful things we can do with a little paint. I love love these
stairs! I am not sure if the entire stair was once grey and has just worn away on the treads or not but is a very cool look. This is also showing me how putting color on the details in a space instead of the walls can be a great way to go!
