I love...
Flowers in spring,
The birds in summer,
And the colourful leaves
Of autumn... 
For creating a new wreath!!

Und die bunten Blätter 
Im Herbst.
Für einen neuen Kranz!!

Looks great in black and white too!!
Sieht auch in schwarz und weiss gut aus!!

Wreath with dry maple leaves.

After a few day the leaves are dry. 

They are  loosing some of the colour and shape.

But the wreath still looks good but tousled.

Kranz mit getrockneten Ahornblättern.

 Nachdem die Blätter getrocknet sind, verlieren sie etwas anFarbe. 

Die Spitzen der Blätter verbiegen sich. Der Kranz sieht aber noch gut aus.

Der Kranz sieht aber etwas zerzaust aus, wie man sehen kann.

Happy Thanksgiving Canada - Erntedankfest in Canada

Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day (Canadian French: Jour de l'Action de grâce), occurring on the second Monday in October (since 1957), is an annual Canadian holiday to give thanks at the close of the harvest season.

On Thursday, January 31, 1957, the Canadian Parliament proclaimed:

“

A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed – to be observed on the 2nd Monday in October.

”

Since 1971, Canadian Thanksgiving has coincided with the observance of Columbus Day in the United States.

Das Thanksgiving Fest in Kanada wird am zweiten Montag im Oktober gefeiert und findet in diesem Jahr am 10. Oktober statt.  Thanksgiving ist in den meisten Provinzen ein Feiertag, so dass er eines der beliebten langen Wochenenden im Jahr bildet. Das Fest war ursprünglich auf den 12. Oktober (Columbus Day, der Tag, an dem die „Neue Welt“ entdeckt wurde) terminiert, wurde aber – wie auch Columbus Day in den USA – auf einen Montag verlegt.

Fall decorations - Herbstdekoration

Last year, I was able to create a large wreath with Mountain-ash (Sorbus americana) berries as shown on the right side of my blog.
This year I used Mountain-ash berries and hydrangea flowers.
I love the colours of the wreath, ornamental gourds and Hubbard squash.
Fall colours for the month of October!!

Letztes Jahr habe ich einen  großen Kranz  mit Ebereschenbeeren (Sorbus americana) gebunden. Er ist rechts auf meinem Blog zu sehen.
In diesem Jahr, verwandte ich Ebereschenbeeren und Hortensienblumen.
Ich liebe die Farben, des Kranzes, der Zierkürbissse und dem Hubbard Kürbis.
Herbstfarben für den Monat Oktober!!

old wreath redecorated...alter Kranz neu dekoriert...

Left upper collage shows the wreath I made two years ago.

With some gold spray and other decorating items I redecorated the wreath for Advent and Christmas.

The wreath is quite fragile and brittle.

In der linken oberen Ecke der Collage kann man den Kranz sehen, den ich vor zwei Jahren anfertigte.

Mit Gold Sprühfarbe und anderen Sachen, dekorierte ich den Kranz für Advent und Weihnachten neu.

Der Kranz ist sehr zerbrechlich und empfindlich.

Der Herbst ist ein zweiter Frühling, wenn jedes Blatt eine Blume ist.

 

Weather forecast calls for possible frost over night. Time to harvest the last tomatoes and herbs.

I moved tender flower pots closer to the house and covered my hanging baskets.

Just finished my newest fall wreath with items I found in our garden.

The gourds are available in many colours and shapes. Great for Thanksgiving decorations as well.

I love my new wreath. Please comment.

Vom Wetteramt kam eine Frostwarnung für die kommende Nacht.

Höchste Zeit, die letzten Tomaten und Kräuter zu ernten.  Empfindliche Topfpflanzen wurden in die Nähe des Hause gebracht. Gerade habe ich meinen neuesten Herbstkranz fertig gestellt, mit Material von unserem Garten. The Zierkürbisse sind in vielen Farben und Formen erhältlich

Eignen sich sehr gut für Erntedankfest Dekorationen.
