Ca brille en 2012! Tous les métaux sont bons à prendre, mais on préfère le cuivre et le laiton. Des jolis métaux qui en plus prennent une jolie patine avec les années. A utiliser de préférence par petites touches, une lampe, un bougeoir ou peut-être un dessous de plat aux formes de la Scandinavie...

2012 is shiny! Any metal will do, but preferably copper and brass. Beautiful metals that also take on a  beautiful patina over the years. To be used in small touches: a lamp, a candleholder or perhaps a Scandinavia-shaped trivet...

On verra davantage de couleurs pastelles cette année, surtout dans des tons plus "sales". Des couleurs douces qui donnent un effet poétique, aéré et rêveur à votre maison. C'est cosy sans être surfait, coloré sans être envahissant.

We will see more pastel colours this year, especially in more "dirty" shades. Soft colours that add a poetic, airy and dreamy look to your home. Cosy without being overdone, colorful without being overwhelming.

Sainte Lucie

Notre maison à 7h ce matin: des bougies allumées partout, des brioches au safran (faites maison) et des petits gâteaux à la cannelle (faites IKEA) sur la table, des guirlandes argentées dans les cheveux, et la musique traditionnelle sur Spotify... Parce qu'aujourd'hui, nous fêtons la Sainte Lucie! Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas cette étrange coutume, voilà à quoi ca peut ressembler version grandiose, personnellement je préfère la version mignonne. Et pour tout savoir sur la Sainte Lucie, c'est par ici.

Autre bonne nouvelle du jour: La Maison d'Anna G. compte maintenant plus de 1000 fans sur facebook! Sans vous ce blog n'aurait aucun intérêt... alors MERCI!

Our home at 7am this morning: candles lit everywhere, saffron buns (homemade) and cinnamon cookies (IKEA made) on the table, silver garlands in our hair, and traditional music on Spotify... Because today we are celebrating Santa Lucia! For those of you who don't know this strange tradition, this is what the grandiose version could look like, personnally I prefer the cute version. Other good news today: La Maison d'Anna G. now has more than 1000 followers on facebook! Without you this blog would not be worthwhile... so THANK YOU!

Lundi coloré

Un peu de couleur pour démarrer la semaine?
Ici c'est les vacances scolaires, alors demain nous partons pour quelques jours dans le sud de la France... youpi! Je vais essayer de continuer à bloguer, et peut-être partager quelques photos de là-bas... Bonne semaine à vous!

Gold

En ce moment, je craque pour tout ce qui est doré... En fait, c'était déjà le cas quand j'avais écrit cet autre billet en janvier dernier. Je crois bien que ma maison a besoin de quelques touches dorées supplémentaires.

I'm very much into anything golden right now... which was actually already the case when I wrote this other post back in January. I really think my home needs a few more touches of gold.
