Another two-toned storage unit for my collection. This is black film–faced plywood with a translucent glass back.

This compact Bratislava (!) apartment also has a cool ceiling.

Small wonder

Posted by MAKMU ta On Wednesday, January 18, 2012

The secret of this small apartment is that it's not actually that small. But it has a very elegant little loft bed so it gets points for that. It also gets points for a number of other Roseland Greene favorites: Josef Frank wallpaper, Gatto lamps, String shelves, and that Ikea rug I sometimes think about buying.

Showstopper in Barcelona

Posted by MAKMU ta On Monday, January 02, 2012

Of course there's tile.

This is one of those renovations where they're knocking down walls and finding Roman ruins. Why doesn't that ever happen to me?

Gratuitous Josef Frank.

Abigail Ahern

I've seen her home before, but clearly it's constantly evolving. Plus, I love her dog.

I like the bright blues on dark backdrops.

I posted an earlier view of the same space here. Quite a change!

Cool lamp and stool, but I really like that slab-of-marble desk.

Cactus crazy

Posted by MAKMU ta On Monday, August 01, 2011

It's a very arid jungle in here... Just a bit more love for the lots-of-potted-plants look, although in this case, things are a bit more sophisticated and less hippie. I just hope that none of them bite.

Roomful of clutter, roomful of calm

Posted by MAKMU ta On Thursday, April 21, 2011

Is clutter ok if it's expensive and tasteful? (I spy a Barcelona daybed in there.)

What if it's next to spare, beautiful room like this? I'd take it.

The mix

Posted by MAKMU ta On Sunday, March 27, 2011

I've been sick. Nothing good about being sick. Plus, NYC hasn't got the memo that's it's spring. On the positive side, I've been thinking a lot about Turkish carpets for some reason.
