A Pink Sunset

I never cease to be amazed by the splendor and the beauty
of the world around us. Just the other day as we were leaving 

home for church I saw a flock of Mourning Doves in my 
neighbors yard - I supposed that doves only flew in pairs.

Quite a romantic notion at that. But, their beauty spoke to
my heart. That night I was preparing to take my son's dog 

out for her evening walk when I noticed the breathtaking
beauty of the setting sun. The sky was covered in pillow-soft

clouds and the tops of trees appeared to be on fire with 
the ebbing rays of sunlight. I had to run back in for my 

camera and then stood in awe as slowly the shades of pink
darkened and night enveloped the sky. My son's dog got her

walk, a wee bit late, but I will always stop and thank God
for the many gifts He gives us each day.
