IXORA
Ixora is a genus from the family Rubiaceae, consisting of tropical evergreens and shrubs.
Though native to tropical areas in Asia, especially India, ixora now grows commonly in tropical climates in the USA, such as Florida.
Ixora is also commonly known as West Indian Jasmine.
Other common names include: rangan, kheme, ponna, chann tanea, techi, pan,
santan, jarum-jarum, Jungle flame, Jungle geranium, and many more.
Plants possess leathery leaves, ranging from 3 to 6 inches in length, and produce large clusters of tiny flowers in the summer.
The pictures originate from the beautiful landscaped gardens around the Hotel of Gran Bahia Principe, El Portillo DR.
Die Ixora gehört zu den Rötegewächsen (Rubiaceae)
werden auch Krappgewächse oder Kaffeegewächse genannt.
Sie werden in die Ordnung der Enzianartigen (Gentianales) eingegliedert.
Meine Aufnahmen stammen aus den herrlichen Gartenanlagen des
Hotels Gran Bahia Principe, El Portillo DR.
Mit grosser Begeisterung war ich oft auf einer Foto Safari unterwegs,
um die herrlichen Blumen und Bäume zu fotografieren.
Ich werde sie in den kommenden Wochen in meinem Blog vorstellen,
nachdem ich die Pflanznamen und mehr Information gefunden habe.
