Hydrangea has in recent years become a favourite in the Swenglish household. With me, that is. The man in the house would probably refer to them as 'poncy' or 'old ladyish'.
Well, he is - obviously - wrong.
This colourful plant, who started its life with us in a bright shade of bluey-purple, turned lilac and later bright pink. Now, just as it is beginning to unwind and go into rest mode, again a shade of lilac going on green - how can you but love this spectacular chameleon?!
And there they lie now, like three fluffy cinnamon rolls, resting their drooping heads. Chances are you will meet them again. Dryer. Decoratively shrivelled. Dead, but deadly gorgeous.
