(Rose of Sharon) Blue Chiffon™ Hibiscus is the latest addition to the Chiffon™ series from breeder Dr. Roderick Woods of England. The exquisite blue flowers have a lacy center of lighter lavender-blue petals that give it a semi-double appearance. The flower centers are accented with wine red color that streaks out from the veins of the petals. Blue Chiffon™ blooms profusely from July through September.

Pinky Winky has an unusual name, and an even more unusual flower. The large white panicles open in mid to late summer, and as summer turns to fall the florets at the base of the panicles turn pink. The flower panicles continue to grow, producing new white florets at the tip. The result is spectacular two-toned flower panicles that can reach up to 16 inches in length! This is a real show-stopper that's also very easy to grow. Adaptable to most soils and both sun and shade, Pinky Winky will thrive in most gardens.

Die erste Sorte aus der Serie der halbgefüllten "Chiffon" Sorten. Die Blüten sind violettrosa und etwa 10 - 12 cm im Durchmesser. Die Mitte leuchtet in rot. Der Wuchs ist gut verzweigt, aufrecht bis etwa 2 m.

Rispenhortensie 'Pinky Winky'
Die Rispenhortensie 'Pinky Winky' ist die erste zweifarbige Sorte. Von Ende Juli bis Oktober trägt sie zunächst große, kegelförmige, weiße Blüten, die sich nach und nach rötlich verfärben.
Der Wuchs gestaltet sich aufrecht bis zu einer Höhe von ca. 200 cm und einer Breite von 150 cm.
Eine weitere Stärke dieser Pflanze ist ihre vielseitige Verwendbarkeit, so eignet sie sich für Hecken- und Flächenpflanzungen genauso wie als Kübelpflanze. Die Blüten lassen sich zudem sehr gut trocknen.
Besonders während der Blütezeit benötigen alle Hortensien ausreichend Wasser!
