On The First Day of the Year

this large cloche has just captivated me! So thankful
to my very thoughtful son.

I am looking forward to the New Year and all it has in store.
I am not a superstitious person, but I do feel I like to set off
the year right by what I do on the first day.
I suppose it is similar to the thought that the first
steps you take in an endeavor are the most important.
I hope to wake feeling well and to be thankful for the gift
of another day.

I found this darling quilt at a local antique store
I had to put on my reading glasses to confirm the price
at $15! My daughter looked at me and said, 'Of Course'.
She knows me so well.

My husband and I have been exercising, so we plan
to start our day that way – I want serve healthy meals,
with the traditional black-eye peas and collard greens, of course.
I plan to spend some time in God’s word and in prayer-

I hope to begin some projects and to thoroughly
enjoy the company of my dear family.

I am having fun looking for things to put in my
extra-large cloche. I don't think I shared that I
broke one while decorating - my darling son
came to my rescue!

And now there’s an added something – to visit you.
You all have added so much to my life over
the past few months – I feel truly enriched.
I am wondering what you do on the first day of the year?
I hope it is a blessed, joyous – most Delightsome day,

Kathy
