Church

Yep, we went to church today. On this very cold morning we put on our Sunday best only to cover it up with coats, hat's and gloves and proceeded to cross the street and walk to church. This is the very church that resulted in why we now live in this house. This is the very church that The Oldest went to pre-school at which led to me driving past a great old home, on a corner lot, with a huge front porch and three FOR SALE signs in the windows and in the yard.

I am not what most would call an overly spiritual person but now that I am a Mom I feel that I do need to be in the good graces of God to ensure that my kids are okay. What I enjoy most about going to church, though, it the total peace of it all. The kids are away at Sunday School and I get to sit in a large room, listen to some nice music and be lulled through my daydreams by the ministers soothing voice.

I can't really tell you what the service was about, and I am not sure it that is a good thing or a bad thing. I really enjoyed but you will need to refer back to the "daydream" comment in the previous paragraph. The Husban is still pretty iffy about it, but he actually pays attention in church. The girls really enjoyed Sunday School and The Oldest actually knew some kids in her class. And it is close - we can wake up, get dressed, walk across the street, go to church, eat some cookies in the fellowship hall and walk home all before 10:30.

I don't know if we will actually become members of this church but, for me, it does fit this whole "Main Street Life" kind of thing we got going on here.
