Romantic Movies

Come sit and join with me in a cup of tea 

as I share favorite

romantic movies.

I am very tenderhearted and very much a girly-girl. 

I cry at sensitive moments in movies -

my family always glance over at me when

something wonderful or sad happens in a movie.

My husband and I became close friends watching a 

movie.

We worked at the same place and I heard this laugh.

I asked my supervisor who that was.

She introduced us.

We became friends and found we both loved musicals.

Our first movie to watch together was

The King and I.

We have loved watching movies together 

and

I still love to hear his laugh.

One of our favorite movies is

Pride and Prejudice.

My husband could practically quote the movie!

It is such a special treat to share this with him.

Not only is the story wonderful, but could you 

imagine tea with Jane Austin, Elizabeth or D'Arcy?

But, as you can probably tell - the music transports me.

The scenery in the movie is breathtaking as well.

Then there's Young Victoria

Oh, my heart was deeply touched to learn of the intense

love between Victoria and Albert. This movie

so beautifully tells their story. I just love the theme song too!

And P.S. I Love You.

I saw this with my sister, daughter and niece.

My sister and I literally wept through the whole movie.

We were so moved by the beautiful images of Ireland -

touched our hearts deeply.

But, the story of a husband who loved his wife so much

to send her those wonderful letters....

Touches my heart just to think of it.

Then there's The Age Of Innocence

A very beautiful movie in every way. 

I was drawn in by the gorgeous images of

the flowers, the beautiful dresses and 

homes. 

But, the story is so endearing - just

wonderful.


Another favorite is
Kate & Leopold

 This is a terrific love story that adds
time travel. One of the things that appeals
to me is when Leopold tells Kate
that he misses his time - the rhythm of his time.
Where they placed thought into everyday events.
That appeals to me as well as their love story.

And An Affair to Remember

Is there any other movie that so many would associate with romance.

Such a lovely story of two who fall in love, tragedy comes there way

and then love triumphs in the end. Oh, how wonderful.

There are so many more very lovely, very romantic movies.

These are just a few that I love.

I am so glad you stopped by for tea. 

Oh by the way - it was on Valentines my husband proposed to me some

25 years ago. Love this month - love romance -

love that dear man of mine! He still makes me laugh.

I love the story of us.
