Romantic Table Runner
While waiting for my computer to be repaired,
I became very busy reading and doing a few crafts.
One of the craft inspiration came from my
January 2003 back issue of Victoria.
The article highlights repurposing left-over
items such as fabric, buttons, paper etc..
I became intrigued by the pleated table runner
pictured above.
So, I found some remnant fabric, similar in color
a beautiful, coordinating braiding and a couple
of delightsome buttons.
I spent a lot of time ironing the fabric to create
the pleats and the seams.

My version of the table runner.
I love the elegance and the simplicity in
the lines of this runner.
I think that makes it quite romantic.
To enhance the runner, I followed Victoria's example
by placing it directly onto the bare dining table.
Atop the runner I kept the extra large cloche
I received from my son this past Christmas.
I placed underneath the cloche an old
Bible, a ceramic opened Bible with two doves
intertwined on top. A small silver heart
engraved - 'Forever', dried roses from my
daughter's wedding. A framed picture of my
children and a Willow Tree- Promise
figurines given to me by my husband on
our anniversary.
Romantic, simple and elegant -
this tabletop and table runner express
the love I have for my family.
