Sodden and Squishy
The sun finally came out after nearly a week of overcast
weather and rain. I am so glad we had the rain, it is the best
thing for my garden and our lawn - but, I have so missed

The birds were even silent!
Well, now the sun is out and setting. The sky is gorgeous and
clear. I managed a quick walk outdoors.

I discovered this ancient bulb beginning to show its blooms. I
sent a picture to our local radio garden guru, Walter Reeves.
His crew could not identify it. When it is in full bloom, I
will show it to you. Perhaps someone will recognize it.
It is so very sodden out here. The ground squishes beneath my
feet - like walking on mushrooms!
The flowers are droopy - I hope they recover enough for me to
find some for a weekend arrangement!
We are enchanted by the beauty of our neighbor's dogwoods. T

garden! I see many of you are experiencing your first spring
blooms! Mine are nearly done.
Have you ever purchased bulbs and they turned out completely
different. I wanted pink tulips for each of the four squares in
my brick garden - some are yellow, some are orange-pink and
some are white!

Oh, yes, and some are pink. Surprises - you never know what
you're going to get - I think they're quite lovely - perhaps
meant to be.
