Mystery Plant Solved

I shared with Tracie - of Fishtail Cottage that in a
round-about way I discovered the identity of the mystery plant I shared with you last week.
It all began in a Rabbit Trail.
I was looking for paint brushes to finish a
tromp 'l oeilel . While looking I began to
clean the craft things in the Blue Room; which led
to looking for things in the Green Room.
While looking through a storage container
I came across a gardening book, The Color Dictionary of Flowers and Plants for Home and Garden, given to me by my English friend.
Thumbing through I came across a picture that very
closely resembled the flowers on my mystery plant.
Ah - Hah! This is it!
Scilla pratensis
"bluish-mauve, star-like in large head on stem up to one ft., scented.
I was so very happy to discover this - this book could be another distraction.
Well, as I am a wee bit distracted now trying to get this garden note out - I am supposed to be cleaning up the debris from our storm earlier. Funny thing, the wind yesterday seemed to have brought down more limbs.
To my surprise, while sweeping the front sidewalk - I discovered
I had another Scilla pratensis blooming on the hill.
Whimsy
I've added a few more bits of whimsy to our rustic Crape Myrtle limb arbor. I hope the Bougainvillea covers it nicely this summer.
More Whimsy
I was privileged to find these Four Seasons at
a garage sale - from my English friend and
my other gardening buddies.
I love the Ladies in my garden. I believe this
dear one was the first in my collection.

Also, There will be a Georgia Trust Mini-Ramble
through our fair little town on May 14.
There will be a number of homes featured and a
catered lunch at my friend's house. If you're in Georgia
