Second Act
or
Prelude
I was sharing with my neighbor this past weekend that I felt this year my garden was like an orchestra tuning up for a beautiful symphony. I walk around and see the garden filling up with plants and blooms - buds are just at the brink of opening.
Some have made an appearance as if to say - stay a while -there's more to come.
The Columbine
The Helleboro
The Iris
Jacob's Ladder
Mock Orange
Pansies
The Peonies
The Roses
Queen Elizabeth
Knockout Rose
One of the roses that was given to me by my gardening friend, my neighbor says he remembers this rose growing in his grandmother's garden - I hope to identify it this year
Memorial Day - a very fragrant rose - the first few are very large - it is a little washed out looking in this photo - direct sunlight - it is really a deeper pink
You will see more of this rose later this evening in my A Return to Loveliness post
Yellow Roses and Yellow Iris are getting very close to blooming
Coming Attractions
I saved the containers from Rotisserie Chickens
thinking they'd make good mini greenhouses. So far so good.
After the seeds immerged, I placed them outdoors to get morning sun.
I am sharing this post with these garden parties
