Pink and Silver
Spring Tablescape
I brought in the majority of my dear Peonies because of the possibility of severe weather last night. I have been so struck by their beauty, almost as if they were boundless, feathery balls of petals.
I wished to place them in vases, but in something a little different.
I have a number of the usual clear glass vases, and I had the idea to make them silver.
I chose two, that now make me think of I Dream of Jeanie's bottle. I have Looking Glass spray paint and Chrome spray paint. I experimented painting one with each.

I have my preference - which do you like?
Now, with the two silver-painted vases I developed a silver, pink and green tablescape.
I used an old pink coverlet as my tablecloth and a couple Battenburg lace place mats as a table runner.
I added my silver armed candelabra, which I have affectionately named Lumiere
(Beauty and the Beast)
I chose my Homer Laughlin, Cavalier china. I love the soft green, pink and silver colors. I love the variety in Homer Laughlin China.
I used my Battenburg lace napkins to coordinate with my table runner
and these sweet Andrea by Sendak napkin rings I found at Goodwill.
I am using my silverware, a set we inherited.
The stemware are also pieces that we inherited, I chose them for their interesting lines and curves.
Peonies are some of my favorite flowers - I am entranced by their beauty -
our table is set now to savor good company and to commemorate my beautiful Peonies.
