Nope, it wasn't a Kentucky Derby Party and it wasn't' a Mother's Day Party.....
it was a BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!
The Oldest turned 6 this weekend and to celebrate we had a Garden Tea Party. She invited seven of her closest friends from school and they enjoyed all sorts of treats including: chocolate milk, pink lemonade, chocolate wafers, sushi made with rice krispy treats and fruit roll-ups, lemon bars, watermelon, cupcakes and ice cream. I threw the watermelon in there just to make myself feel better:) Can you say sugar high?!?!?! I love, love, love planning birthday parties and this was the first party we have had where it was just the kids and no parents (well, except for The Husband and me) so I wanted to make it extra special.

And here is the birthday girl dressed in her flower headband because she wanted to dress up as a part of the decorations:) We almost didn't have a candle for her because we didn't have a lighter anywhere in the house until we remembered we could light it off of the gas stove:)
