Peach Iced Tea
What are you going to do with all those peaches!?
I have many more stored in the fridge - they came from my brother-in-law's market |
My husband inquired. I know what he wants,
Peach Ice Cream.
These sweet pink dishes are not marked - but I think the blossoms look to me like peach blossoms |
Well, I need to get the ingredients, but in the meantime
I had the idea to make Peach Iced Tea.
I love going to Bistros or Restaurants that serve
fruit flavored tea.
So refreshing in the summer heat.
I searched for a recipe and then ended up putting one together
on my own.
Peach Iced Tea
2 Family Size Lipton Ice Tea bags
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 large peaches
sprigs of mint
Water
****
I brew the two teabags in my teapot and let steep 3 to 5 minutes.
I placed the sugar in the tea pitcher and once brewed poured the
tea over the sugar. I peeled, sliced and pureed the peaches in my blender until liqufied. Added the peaches to the tea-sugar mixture and stirred until the sugar was dissolved. I then strained the
mixture into a glass pitcher -
( I had enough water added to fill an 8 cup pitcher pitcher)
I peeled and sliced an additional peach for decoration and to snack on!
I added sprigs of mint to each glass.
I love it! I sure hope my husband will.
I served Dried Cranberry/Pecan Scones. This was a King Arthur mix given to me! It was super simple and delicious!
Today is a gorgeous day - the garden has perked up after our rain.
Look! We have a curious visitor. I had just fed the cats before setting the table -
I guess they wondered if we were having something better!
Won't you join me for a cool glass of Peach Tea and Scones?
I always enjoy your visit!
I hope you have a truly blessed day!
