In the 1990 issue, Victoria shares the enchanting,
romantic story of a garden that unfolded out of a woman's convalescence and her becoming acquainted with the birds.
"After a while the birds got used to me and flew right in close. That was the most marvelous and peaceful experience, and i decided I just had to learn everything I could about these wonderful creatures".

plans for formal gardens to a lush, fountained bird sanctuary,

A three acre garden in Charlotte North Carolina, is now a sanctuary with fountains, a formal garden, an herb garden and acres of rambling vines, bushes and trees planted to welcome
the winged friend.
I am thrilled by the beauty and the flush of life that comes in the month of June -
the warm afternoons sipping tea, warm or iced
and closing my eyes - listening to the song of the afternoon
the breeze in the leaves
the song of the birds
the buzz of the bees.
What better gift - what better preview of heavenly places.
