This upcoming weekend is Thanksgiving so after work today I decided to add some Fall colour and texture to our kitchen.
I love the blue and white accessories on the kitchen shelves for summer but it was time for a seasonal change. I decided on a white, brown and orange colour scheme.
The old wooden spools were added for colour and their rustic patina. The orangey-yellow plate (Pier1 several years ago) was layered over the white platter for a pop of colour. Pumpkin soup servers (also from Pier1) add more fall colour.
I added crocheted doilies for some textile softness and the cream pillar candle (with flecks of orange) for a bit of height.
The faux-carved wood candle on the top shelf was a gift from a colleague and has a lovely prayer of thanks perfect for Thanksgiving.
