Potpourri
These past few days have just flown! Busyness! There just seems to be lists and lists of things to do. Last week, my daughter and I tested the waters with a few crafts to sell. I have been enjoying creating lavender sachets, totes and cookie/cocoa gifts in a jar. My daughter is very good at crocheting and has created flowers for hair, headbands, hats, scarves etc…
her talent and imagination is amazing!
I love the fragrance of lavender and decided to make a few along with some totes using a flower technique I saw at Polka Dot closet. Her totes are gorgeous and inspiring. I will show you more of the sachets and totes soon.
I picked up a candelabra sconce at Goodwill a while back and wanted to create one of my “Pinned” items – a birdfeeder with teacups. When one of these sweet pink teacups was knocked over and cracked, I decided to use them along with a lonely Lu Ray green saucer. I didn’t realize until I hung the birdfeeder that one teacup is at an angle – a wee bit more whimsical.
I was humming “feed the birds tuppence a bag, tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag” – while creating this and hanging it. I used to sing a few words when with my children and they’d always join in on the song! Lovely memories.
It is the first week of December and I still have summer flowers blooming.
We’ve had a few nights of frost so some of them are appearing tired – but their presence brings such delight to my heart.
This week will be another busy week….Will it be that way until New Years? I wonder.
I hope you’re enjoying these days and weeks –
I do so appreciate your visit and your comments!
