The Day Ahead
There’s a chill back to the morning air.
The sky this morning is pink as the low-long rays of the sun
Reach to brighten the morning sky.
The cloudless sky is expanded by the bare branched trees.
It is a soft-goodmorning.
I look out and see the birds and squirrels scurrying for their morning meal as I prepare my family’s meal.
I think of the day ahead.
I look forward to our morning church services – to hearing what God has laid on my husband’s heart, to seeing our churchmembers and wishing them a marvelous week.
As I think on the day ahead, the list of things to do begin to fill the hours.
I have prepared pot roast and potatoes to be ready when we arrive home.
We need to visit a church member who has had major surgery and is in a hospital in Atlanta – a two hour ride.
I started a project yesterday I hope to finish this evening – I can’t wait to share this with you.
I have more presents to wrap, more cards to write.
I don’t want to fill this day too much!
But, I won’t think about that for now – for now, I’ll enjoy the quietness of this soft- Sunday morning.
The gentle winds are blowing – making music in my wind-chimes.
It is going to be a good day,
I hope you have a Delightsome and blessed day,
