Finished with Antique Furniture Wax

The wax finishes are beautiful hardwood for furniture, veneers and marquetry. It is not difficult, but it is important to know the technique to extract the full advantage.
The first is done with the material: furniture wax, steel fluff, cotton cloth or good quality flat brush, shoe brush and half clean.
First, if the furniture was waxed and have to clean it well, you can use a commercial dewaxing.
After cleaning the wood, apply the new wax, you can do it with a clean cotton cloth, non-shedding hair or a brush. Extend it well, without going over the amount.

Let it dry for one hour to wax polishes, rubbing the surface with the shoe brush wrapped in average. Then another coat of wax gives and let dry again, this time for twenty-four hours.

You will see the high gloss wood acquires with this treatment. The best waxes are colorless or yellow, antique type. And remember that every time you want to re-wax the furniture, you should clean it first so you do not build up layers of old wax.
