January’s Moon

full wolf moon, old moon or moon after the yule
I wish my camera could have captured for you the delightful beauty I saw in the night’s sky. The full moon shone brightly as high, wispy clouds floated by occasionally covering its brightness.
I stepped outside, and as is my habit, I looked upwards looking for the moon. There, in the eastern sky it was luminous and full smiling knowingly down at me.

January’s full moon, the first of the year lit the cool air, not quite cold enough in these winter months.
Through the branches of the bare trees I could see this moon as if it were trapped within a web. Soft clouds glowed bright as they floated by and past the moon. The stars were out, but seemed to dim their light a bit giving center stage to our nocturnal friend.
I will always be in awe of the beauty of God’s creation
the sun by day and the moon by night.
