Bermuda grass originally came from Africa and is the common name for all the East African species of Cynodon. I found the very nice looking grass in an open and sunny area in El Portillo, Dominican Republic.
Although most of these species have remained in Africa, today Cynodon dactylon is found in warm climates all over the world. The grass is listed as invasive species some areas in the USA.

Die Hundszahngräser (Cynodon) sind eine Pflanzengattung aus der Familie der Süßgräser (Poaceae).
Diese ist in den Tropen und Subtropen verbreitet, mehrere Arten wurden jedoch verschleppt.
In Europa wurde das Hundszahngras (Cynodon dactylon) eingebürgert.
Ich habe, die mir unbekannte Grassorte, währens unseres Urlaubs in der Dominikan Republik endeckt und zu Hause identifiziert.
