Brilliant Expectations
This past weekend, my son was over and he shares my enthusiasm for the beauty of the moon. We will call or text each other when we see the glorious full moon.
As he was leaving to go home, he looked up at the cloud filled sky to see the nearly full, beautifully bright moon. We all stood watching the clouds roll by and the moon peeping out and sometimes sending out long moon rays.
Tomorrow night will be the official full moon for the month of May.
It is called the Full Flower Moon.
According to Farmer's Almanac, 'in most areas, flowers are abundant everywhere during this time. Other names include Full Corn Planting Moon or the Milk Moon.
I love that each full moon has its name and seasonal meanings behind each name.
Many of you are now just experiencing your spring flowers as I am experiencing the in-between time of spring and summer flowers.
The Full Flower Moon name has a very romantic sound to me. I hope the skies are clear tomorrow night that I might enjoy this wonderful May full moon.
