Dining Room
It all started when I decided to clean out my china cabinet.
It had become quite cluttered.
Once done, I progressed to the buffet. I had this
flower arrangement that I’d found at a garage
sale some years back. It had begun to look worn
so I fixed some of the flowers and removed others.
I had a piece of the material I’d used to make
the curtains, so I made a tabletop runner.
I’d painted these candlesticks a while back
With Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze
and liked the look. I have two of my favorite
Beeswax candles perched atop.
Onto the other side table, this was actually an old
television cabinet someone repurpsed
I used another fabric remnant from the valance
And made a table top runner for this piece.
I kept the tea set my daughter gave me.
I think all I need is a lovely crocheted doily to finish
this look.
On the piano, I placed a lace curtain and red fabric
off to the side. I put these silk flowers in another
daughter’s wedding around the flower arrangement.
I had found these two chairs at a garage sale
Then I saw the red, Emperor's Silk from
Anne Sloan and knew I’d have my color.
I painted three coats to cover the dark stain,
then when once dried I applied a dark
This material was some I’d found at
the fabric sale last spring. I still have so
in our old house that we tackled. I’d wanted
a red dining room and found just the color
I love seeing red!
I do appreciate your visit!
